The start date for the investigator-initiated clinical trial of a tooth regeneration treatment for congenital edentulism ( known as “teething medicine”) has been set.

The research plan (approved by the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) on 25 March 2024) for a tooth regeneration treatment for congenital edentulism ( known as “teething medicine”) being conducted by the Kitano Hospital and affiliated groups. The start date of the investigator-initiated clinical trial at Kyoto University Hospital has now been set for 18 October 2024.
The clinical trial is being conducted in collaboration with the Department of Early Medical Development [Research Centre for Next-Generation Medicine and iPS Cell Therapy (Ki-CONNECT), Kyoto University Hospital], Kitano Hospital, Toregem Biopharma and the National Institutes of Health
Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED).
